Yoga & Creative Wellbeing Retreat

FAQs

August 31st – September 4th retreat

I’m new to yoga; can I still join?

Absolutely! Each practice will offer accessible options for beginners and stronger variations for more experienced practitioners. This retreat blends movement and personal development so you’ll enjoy some variety in our itinerary. At the same time, this is your retreat, so you can always decide for yourself if you want to take it easier one day, to skip an activity completely, or to go all in and challenge yourself through it all!

What type of personal development will you offer?

Raisa will guide you through creative workshops and journaling exercises to explore your passions and how you can bring more joy into or alongside your professional life. From her years of experience mentoring designers and building various communities in and out of the workplace, she is thrilled to bring you a brand new program that combines her most effective professional tips with the wellbeing techniques that are necessary to keep balanced and fun.

Can I expense the costs with my employer?

Considering the educational and self-development aspect of the program, you may qualify for partial reimbursement if your employer offers funding for personal education. If you are a freelancer in the yoga/wellness space, you can also claim the costs against your earnings, along with a VAT refund with your tax reporting.

How do I get there?

The closest airport is AGP (Malaga), which has many direct flights from Amsterdam, London, and other major European cities.

When should I arrive?

Arrive by midday on Thursday, August 31st and we’ll arrange pick-up from AGP to Casa Lavanda, in time for our program start at 17:00. We’ll offer you a ride back to AGP on the morning of departure on Monday, September 4th.

What if I’d like to extend my stay in the area?

Great idea! We love spending time in Nerja and the surrounding area, and will gladly share further recommendations or connections on where to stay and what to do.

What is there to do during the free time?

Between the scheduled yoga sessions and workshops, we encourage you to take some time to slow down and relax at the spacious gardens, pool, and common rooms of Casa Lavanda. But when you need a change of scenery, we are just steps away from the town center of Nerja. We’re just a 10-minute walk to Playa Burriana, where you can SUP, kayak, swim, or lay on the beach.

What food will be served at the retreat?

We’ll sit together for brunch after our active morning practice and dinner after our calming yin/restorative practice. Light breakfast options will be available in the morning for those who want to enjoy a small bite at their own pace. We’ll have snacks, water, and coffee available throughout the day, and you’re always welcome to wander into town for some delicious tapas, ice cream, or empanadas (we’ll share all our local faves 😉 )

Do I need to bring my own mat?

We provide brand new Manduka mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters for your practice. Leave your mat and props behind to travel light!

Do I need to bring a towel, shampoo, soap, etc?

Casa Lavanda provides all bathrooms with organic lavender soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Fresh towels and sheets are provided, with towels changed once halfway through the retreat. You’ll have a separate pool and beach towel–just don’t forget to take it back.

What is included in the costs?

Pricing is based on your chosen room, and all pricing options include daily meals, all practices/workshops, bathroom amenities, use of pool/gardens/facilities, use of mats/props, and one welcome massage. Daily brunches and dinners are included, with a mix of onsite meals by a private chef, and outings together.

Flights are not included in the program costs and should be booked individually. We’ll arrange private transport from AGP airport (Malaga) to the retreat venue and back for a stress-free arrival and departure.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Upon acceptance into the program, we only ask for a deposit of €280 to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the retreat start. You have the opportunity to pay in two more installments in July and August to spread the costs if it helps you.

Where can I practice with you locally before the retreat?

Raisa teaches weekly in Amsterdam and Amstelveen–sign up for the mailing list to know the weekly schedule, special community classes, and other ways to stay connected.

Hope this gives you enough info to book your spot 🙂
